OPW Fuel Management Systems Schedules Two Virtual Training Seminars In July

By OPW | Jun 22, 2011

Hodgkins, IL — OPW Fuel Management Systems, part of OPW Fueling Components, has scheduled a pair of Web-based product training seminars for the month of July.

The first virtual training seminar of the month will focus on the K800™ Fleet Fuel Control System and has been set for July 7-8 beginning at 8 a.m. CDT and continuing for two hours each day. This course is designed to introduce service personnel to the K800 product, including demonstrations on system startups and general operation. The K800 system consists of one to four fuel-island terminals used by drivers to access fuel and one Fuel Site Controller that stores all transaction data and driver records. The system features one-card, two-card or cardless access; product and quantity restrictions; card, code, ChipKey or proximity card/key access; a durable fuel-island terminal with backlit LCD; odometer reasonability; and dual-card accountability.

The month’s second virtual training seminar has been scheduled for July 21-22 from 8-11 a.m. CDT each day and will focus on the EECO 1500/2000 Tank Gauges. The seminar will introduce attendees to the EECO 1500/2000 tank gauges, including demonstrations on system start-ups and general operations, and an overview on programming. The EECO 1500/2000 tank gauges are multi-function, high-quality tank-monitoring systems that provide real-time, accurate inventory information for up to four fuel-storage tanks.

Virtual course registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. All registrants must have high-speed Internet access and an active individual e-mail address. Registrants must also download and read the appropriate training guides prior to the seminar. OPW Fuel Management Systems will award certificates of achievement on systems that are covered during the seminar. In order to receive certification, attendees must pass a mandatory written test on each system. Technicians are required to re-certify every three years and the re-certifying cost is $75 for each test. However, if the technician attends an onsite or Webex seminar, the cost of the test will be waived.

There is a $100 charge for attending a two-day Webex training course and payment must be received at least one week prior to the seminar date. A valid Visa, MasterCard or P.O. from the sponsoring distributor and sponsorship by an authorized OPW Fuel Management Systems distributor are required to participate in these Webex courses. Seminar fees are non-refundable once the registration has been sent. If OPW cancels the seminar, a refund will be sent to the technician or it can be used for a future Webex seminar.

Qualified technicians and distributors can register for Web-based training seminars on OPW Fuel Management Systems’ Web site at www.opwglobal.com under the “Service Seminar Schedule” link in the Tech Support section or by calling Steve Rose at (708) 485-4200, ext. 8278.
