OPW Fuel Management Systems is pleased to announce several promotions and additions to the team.

OPW-Fuel Management Systems opened its doors this fall to warmly welcome almost 100 distributors and channel partners for an open house at its manufacturing facility just outside of Chicago, IL.

What’s new at FMS? If the PEI show in Chicago is any indication, quite a lot. OPW introduced one new Tank Monitoring product, three new Fuel Control products and unveiled its new PV Family of Fuel Control Solutions at the convention.

Earlier this year, OPW Fuel Management Systems began laying the foundation for a refreshed line of Fuel Control products. Over the past few months, the FMS team has been working hard to bring the new vision into focus. The result is the new PV Family of Fuel Control Solutions that provides a full spectrum of fuel control capabilities to commercial applications through a unified product line.

Our team had a great time in Chicago meeting with industry partners and friends at 2017 PEI Convention at the NACS Show. It was truly an incredible week visiting with partners who have made our landmark 125th anniversary possible.

Werts Welding & Tank Service first opened its doors in March of 1957. Its founder, Robert R. Werts, became interested in welding while in high school during the 1940s. After serving in the Army during WWII, Robert worked at a local welding shop for 6 years. After his experience there, he and his wife Verna decided to open their own welding business. They began their business in a portion of a 30′ x 40′ building across the street from their current facility in Wood River, Illinois.

In an article published on Government Fleet’s website, FMS Domestic Sales Manager Bobby Hayes advises fleet managers about how to maximize their investments in fuel control equipment by developing a long-term equipment acquisition strategy. In the article, he makes three key recommendations.
