Smithfield, NC – OPW Fueling Containment Systems, A Dover Company (NYSE: DOV) and the global leader in commercial and retail petroleum equipment, is pleased to announce the release of its new 71SO-T Testable Overfill Prevention Valve.

“Updates to the 1988 EPA UST regulations are in process now and periodic overfill valve operational tests and inspection requirements are being defined,” explains Charles Liebal, Product Manager for OPW.  “The new testable overfill prevention valve will make compliance with upcoming test requirements easier and more efficient.  It will be the easiest, quickest, and most cost efficient way to ensure that overfill valves will operate when called upon, verifiable without removing them from the tanks. Operators will be able to test in 60 seconds vs. 60 minutes.”

According to Liebal, the new 71SO-T Testable Overfill Prevention Valve makes testing and verification of proper operation quick and easy with only three steps:

1.) Loosen Test Plug

2.) Lift Float with Cable to Simulate Fill

3.) Validate proper poppet operation
